How to Create a Holiday Centerpiece

It’s easy to create an amazing tablescape using pre-lit garland, candles, ornaments, and other decor items. Learn how to create a holiday centerpiece in this video by The Home Depot:

Start with a pre-lit faux garland which will act as your table runner and create an additional layer of lighting. Bring in more lighting with gold candles and candlesticks for a really festive touch. Use a fabric tablecloth rather than paper or plastic to elevate the experience. Silver, gold and gray ornaments keeps the theme intact. You’ll also need water glasses, wine glasses, silverware, dinner napkins, plates and bowls.

1. Set foundation with a tablecloth.

2. Add garland across the center of the table and fluff the branches to add volume and dimension to your centerpiece.

3. Attach ornaments to the garland for a wow factor.

4. Place candlesticks along both sides of the garland, placing them close so they won’t take up too much space on the table. If your candlestick doesn’t stand upright, melt the bottom of it, and while it’s still hot, place it directly back into the candle holder.

5. Set the table. Customize your setup to show your style.

6. Add napkins to each plate.

7. Add flatware to place settings.

8. Complete your table with wine and water glasses.

9. Light the candles and set the holiday mood.
