How to Build a Wall Mounted Wood Block Headboard

With ordinary 4×4 wood posts, you can create a eye-catching modern headboard. Learn how to build a wall mounted wood block headboard in this video by Better Homes and Gardens:



1. Measure, mark and cut 4×4-inch wood posts into 1-inch thick pieces.

2. Lightly sand the edges of the pieces.

3. Stain wood slices and let dry.

4. Arrange the slices in your desired pattern on a sheet of MDF.

5. Measure height and width of desired headboard size on the sheet of MDF.

6. Mark 1 inch smaller on all sides and cut MDF.

7. Use wood glue to adhere slices to panel, then let dry overnight.

8. Attach one half of a cleat to the headboard and the other half to the wall.

9. Hang the headboard on the wall.
