How to Build a Concrete Block Outdoor Bar

Don’t have the budget for a high-end outdoor kitchen? You can easily make an outdoor bar from wood boards and cinder blocks that can do double-duty as a planter. Learn how to build a concrete block outdoor bar in this video by Better Homes and Gardens:



1. Cut wood for bar top.

2. Lay boards side by side with a small gap.

3. Attach braces with wood screws.

4. Use wood glue to attach boards on each side. Secure with nails. Use a damp cloth to wipe away excess glue.

5. Measure and tape off bar layout.

6. Set layers 1-5 in sequence, securing each with concrete glue.

7. Attach bar top using concrete glue.

8. Accessorize with drinks, snacks, glassware and plants.
