You will need the following for this DIY project:

Salvaged wooden door
Low VOC paint
Brushes
Sanding block
Power drill
Screwdrivers
Accessories (knobs, hooks, floating shelves, towel bars, mirror, etc.)

1. Lightly sand the surface of the door. Remove the dust with a damp rag and let dry.

2. Apply paint in thin layers using long smooth brush strokes and let dry.

3. Be creative and experiment with the placement of your accessories on the door. Try different locations until you find a layout that you love and that will work well with your space and needs.

4. Once you’ve determined your layout, use your power drill and screwdrivers to install your hardware.

5. Lean the door up against the wall, using mounting hardware to make it secure.
