Hookless Shower Curtains for Hassle-Free Hanging

Bathroom shower curtains with hooks are difficult to hang, maintain and use; indeed, hanging a traditional shower curtain almost always requires assistance. Normal use can damage and weaken the hooks, which can lead to costly repairs. Fortunately, hookless shower curtains are now available. Some of these have unique design features, but most will work with your existing shower curtain rods. Some have a built-in split ring system that will slip over the rod, while others use buttons, snaps, ties or Velcro. While these methods are not perfect, they eliminate the hassle of manipulating shower hooks. Nearly all hookless shower curtains have the added benefit of being water repellent, lessening the threat of mildew and mold.

The Arcs & Angles Hookless Shower Curtain only takes ten seconds to install and comes in 100% polyester fabric, fabric with bubble vinyl window, and vinyl. Some examples include the Double H with It’s a Snap! Liner, which has chrome domed rings and comes in white or beige, and the Stratum, which is a multi-colored earthtone striped curtain. All styles are water resistant, and the vinyl is anti-microbially treated. Optional liners are available. These curtains cost around $20-30 and can be found at retailers such as Amazon.com, Bed Bath & Beyond, and Vintage Tubs.

The companion shower curtain rod, THE ARC, is flat and curved, creating 30% more elbow room in the shower, and it is made of rust resistant aircraft aluminum. It fits in any bathroom regardless of size as you can trim the rod to the perfect length for your bathroom. THE ARC’s flat design allows it to flex in and out, solving the problem of collision with the bathroom door in a retrofitted bathroom. This curved shower bar costs around $45.
