The new design incorporates a mix of green, gold, black and white and adds a modern edge to the farmhouse style. There are shiplap details on the hood vent and island, but the island has a wooden countertop and is up on legs. Matte porcelain countertops with a waterfall edge create a clean-lined aesthetic. There is a mix of metals, with black hardware on the white upper cabinets, gold hardware on the green lower cabinets, and black faucets with gold accents. An oblong diamond marble tile backsplash stacked vertically draws the eye up toward the ceiling. Next to the pantry, the adjacent stairwell was opened up from the kitchen side and converted into a home office nook.
