Green Kitchen Design
This KohlerOnDesign video presents a green kitchen design. Green as the color of choice not only reflects the green aspects of the kitchen (recyclable materials), but it is also a fun, fresh, and lively color that gives the kitchen a springy, vibrant look.
Note the following highlighted features:
- Different clear shades of green are utilized throughout
- Banquette features a recolored document fabric from the 18th century, giving it a crisp, modern look
- Flooring is comprised of two shades of linoleum placed on a diagonal, leading the eye to the banquette
- Backsplash consists of various shades of green
- Countertop is 60% recycled glass in two tones
- Both traditional dark and cherry cabinets were installed. The horizontal grain of the cherry wood provides a calming element to the overall design. The cabinets are hung over windows with glass on each side, allowing light to shine through, creating an airy space. Colored glass inside the cabinets gives a stained glass effect.
