Glam Design Style

The glamorous (glam) style actually involves creating a moody space, whether light or dark. Architecturally, you’ll often find large crown and base molding in a stained finish or painted white. Feature walls may be covered in stone, slate, applied molding or glass. You may see applied molding on the ceiling with metallic wallpaper inside of it or metallic paint with cove lighting. Think of gleaming surfaces like marble, brushed brass, mirrored or reflective surfaces, metallics with lacquer, quartzite slabs and lots of glitz. You’ll see plush fabrics like velvet, mohair, suede, leather, feathers, silk, taffeta, cashmere, fur, and sheepskin.
