Functional Farmhouse Kitchen

A kitchen can be stylish, beautiful and functional all at the same time. P. Allen Smith explains the design of his farmhouse kitchen in this eHow Home video:

A large kitchen island with a deep farm sink is flanked by a “heat” area with two stoves, microwave and warming oven on one side and a “cold” area with refrigerator, deep freezer and icemaker on the other.

The kitchen is large enough that seven people can work in this kitchen simultaneously at different stations.

A white color scheme with gray marble countertops and stainless steel appliances gives a harmonious feel. Two dishwashers, two waste bins, a pantry, and ample cabinets complete the design.
