Fall Entryway Display Tips

Do you want to create a warm and inviting entryway for your guests this holiday season? This Better Homes and Gardens video presents three tips for adding personal style to your fall display:

Bring the gorgeous colors of the season to your entryway with a mix of flowers, leafy branches, pumpkins, gourds and mums.

1. To make the most of your front door, use a large natural wreath for impact. Then add some dried hydrangea and finish it off with a bow.

2. Vary the heights of your natural elements to draw the eye upward. You can create pedestals from galvanized metal pails, bushel baskets and barrels and add interest with hydrangea, branches, twigs or decorative grasses.

3. Think outside the box about symmetry. For example, choose smaller pumpkins on one side of the door to balance a large pumpkin on the other side. Put some moss and colorful gourds in an apple basket for a casual cornucopia. Balance this beautiful cascading effect with a larger pumpkin and gourds on the opposite side of the entryway.

You can’t go wrong with pumpkins, gourds and fall flowers. And remember, you have to have fun while you’re creating it!
