When you ask most people why they chose to build a tiny house, the answer is freedom – freedom from high overheads, freedom to make different choices in life, freedom to choose where you want to be in the world – and that’s exactly the case for this inspiring woman who built an exquisite spacious tiny home for herself and her daughter. Situated in the middle of an abundant orchard, the home is on a large property with several other young families who came together to form a village. The high roof and bi-fold windows give the interior a feeling of expansiveness and provides space for hanging plants. Dual staircases with built-in storage lead up to two loft bedrooms. The kitchen has full-size appliances, a concealed washing machine, a custom pull-out table and a peninsula with seating for three. A wraparound sofa in the lounge provides plenty of seating for guests. The bathroom has a large shower and floating vanity with a vessel sink.
