Easy Holiday Wreath Hacks

Create a unique wreath starting with a frame made from upcycled materials. Learn more about these easy holiday wreath hacks in this video by Better Homes and Gardens:



1. Laundry Basket Wreath Hack:

  • Cut the top off a dollar store laundry basket.
  • Set the top of the basket top-side up.
  • Layer in seeded eucalyptus and weave in baby eucalyptus. Repeat for several layers.
  • Wrap wire around eucalyptus.
  • Remove wreath from basket top.
  • Add additional wire to stabilize.
  • Add wire hanger.
  • Trim and fill as needed.

2. Cardboard Wreath Hack:

  • Use nail and wire to trace a circle on cardboard. Repeat with a smaller diameter. Cut out the cardboard ring.
  • Repeat the first step and create a second cardboard ring.
  • Line up the two rings with corrugation in opposite directions. Glue together.
  • Mark and punch holes.
  • Wire frame together.
  • Add hanging wire.
  • Add pine garland to wire.
  • Add lamb’s ears, pine cones, berries and ornaments, arranging before gluing.
  • Use hot glue to secure embellishments.

3. Pool Noodle Tinsel Wreath:

  • Bend a pool noodle into a circle.
  • Cut ends at an angle and tape together.
  • Create a hanger with floral wire.
  • Attach tinsel with hot glue.
  • Wrap tinsel around noodle.
  • Add ornaments.
