Dramatic Fireplace Makeover
This family room fireplace with its dated stone and traditional mantel did not blend with the transitional style in the rest of the room and was in need of a makeover. See the result of this dramatic transformation in this video by Smart Interiors:
The new fireplace feature wall with its stacked stone from floor to ceiling makes a bold impression and adds character and texture. Espresso wood window casements and a beefed-up mantel blend with the kitchen cabinetry. The firebox was updated with a glass insert and fire glass, making it dazzle in the light.
