DIY Custom Workstation

This large room adjacent to the kitchen had wall-to-wall lower cabinets and lacked an identity. See how this unused area was transformed into a DIY custom workstation in this video by The Home Depot:

Vlogger Sharzad Kiadeh needed a more functional space for work and for time with her son. The solution: a DIY custom workstation.

The existing cabinets were removed and replaced with two vanity cabinets connected by a pre-cut tabletop which serves as the desk.

Edge banding was applied to the tabletop and the excess trimmed off. The tabletop was then lightly sanded and attached to the cabinets using a nail gun. Two coats of stain were applied and left to dry for 24 hours. Finally, the desk was attached to the wall using L brackets.

The finished multi-functional workspace has a beautiful stained tabletop and some white cabinets for storage. The large desk with its two chairs provides a dual space for work and for Sharzad’s son.
