DIY Coastal Style Rope Sign
Add a beachy touch to a wall, side table or mantel with a DIY coastal style rope sign. Learn how to make one for your home in this HGTV video:
1. Split a wood board in two and attach the pieces.
2. Cover the top half in a light-hued pickling stain.
3. Wait 30 seconds, then wipe the surface with a cloth.
4. Cover the bottom half in a darker pickling stain.
5. Wait 30 seconds, then wipe the surface with a cloth.
6. Write your chosen inspirational word or phrase on the wood in chalk.
7. Using a hot glue gun and hot glue, trace the word or phrase with sisal rope. Trim rope as needed.
8. Clean up the sign and put in place.
