Cottage-Style Oklahoma Tiny Home
Designing and building a tiny house is an opportunity to create a space that will work to perfectly meet your needs. This young couple did just that, changing their cottage-style Oklahoma tiny home to help it adapt to their growing family. Take the tour in this Living Big in a Tiny Home video:
The home’s exterior features cedar trim, a knotty alder door, primed and treated fiberboard siding and a metal roof. An outdoor deck and fire pit extend the living space.
Inside, wood elements such as the window trim, beams and shelving were built from salvaged wood. The kitchen, raised to create space for a multi-use counter and deep storage drawers, has a freezer and apron sink. A fold-down table and bench provides an eating space. The lounge has a hidden bed. A sliding bar door leads into the bathroom which has a walk-in shower and a washer/dryer. The sleeping loft is split into parents’ and baby’s spaces with a sliding crib, safety net and a locking gate.
