These homeowners wanted to create a space that was not only open and airy but also durable and functional for a growing family. A welcoming entryway with a modern console table and picture window leads into the living room which has a fireplace, a paneled wall, ceiling beams, and lots of natural light from the expansive windows. Double sliders lead out to the deck and patio. The kitchen was opened by raising the ceiling and removing the upper cabinets; a paneled appliance wall makes the space minimal and clean, and the long island extends into the living and dining room. A second dining space was converted into a gaming area. Other features include the powder room with its fluted vanity and fun patterned cement tile and the laundry room which has lots of storage, a hanging rod, and a pull-out laundry bin and recycling center.
