Contemporary Front Yard Outdoor Living Space

This home is unique in that it does not have a back yard, so the front yard serves as an entryway and an outdoor living space for lounging, dining and playing. See the features of this contemporary front yard remodel in this LandscappingNetwork.com video:

Retaining walls with plantings of phormium tenax were built up along the street for to serve as a privacy screen. The upper level has decomposed granite and paving has a fire pit, dining area and water feature. The lower area has a small lawn and large pavers leading to the front door. Plants include phormium tenax, phormium firebird, yellow kangaroo paws, senecio and aeoniums, while two large trees provide shade.
