1. An accent wall was created by adding ornate molding in a rectangular pattern.

2. The faux fireplace, a secondary focal point, was built from a mantel and decorative molding and inlaid with faux tin tile.

3. The walls were painted a very light gray paint and the faux fireplace a subtle pink.

4. A small DIY footstool ottoman that is both functional and visually interesting was made from wood with the legs painted in a metallic glaze and the seat covered in white faux fur.

5. Ornamental wall pieces painted in a metallic glaze and gold detailing on the molding provided the finishing touches.
