Boy’s Bedroom Makeover

This eight-year-old boy’s bedroom makeover makes optimal use of a small space while incorporating vintage items as well as his favorite color. See the features in this House & Home video:

Limited floor space was maximized with an IKEA loft bed, providing room for a seating area underneath with a sofa bed, which is perfect for sleepovers.

The boy’s favorite color of green was applied to just one accent wall, which keeps it from overwhelming the space.

Although the room has no closet, it is packed with storage – plastic bins, an ottoman, vintage racks, locker, and dresser. Display racks keep sports equipment off the floor.

The curtain rod was retrofitted with plumbing pieces for an industrial look. A gallery wall and map pinboard provide the finishing touches.
