Bohemian-Style Cottage with a Lakeside View

This bohemian-style cottage with a lakeside view started life as an 800 square-foot hunting shack with no running water or heat. The space was transformed by turning the entire home into a great room and adding an 800 square foot extension. Natural materials like wood, leather and rattan create a cozy casual space. The IKEA kitchen is super-durable with an apron sink, flat cabinets, loads of storage, and a brass backsplash in lieu of a range hood. There is a game-playing area and a seating area totally devoid of tech devices. The new addition has two kids bedrooms, two bathrooms and the master bedroom which has its own bathtub and skylight.
