Bathroom Remodel That Maximizes Space

How do you get everything you need into your new bathroom when there’s limited space available? Interior designer Mark Williams presents a bathroom remodel that maximizes space in this Trends video:

This early 1900’s historic home had a 1960’s bathroom renovation that was not very attractive and falling into disrepair. The plumbing was in an existing location that worked in general.

A typical rectangular vanity with cabinetry down to the floor would have intersected with the the shower enclosure and tub in a very awkward and nonfunctional way. Installing a curved edge vanity softened the sides and tucked the vanity back to the wall. Opening up the bottom of the vanity and relocating under-the-sink storage to another location made the floor space feel more ample and comfortable. The vanity’s center stack of storage between the two sinks was supplemented by an adjacent wall-to-ceiling cabinet.

The bathroom had insufficient space for creating a private water closet, so the toilet was hidden from view behind light gray drapery that mirrors the shower curtain on the opposite side.
