Uranium is an element which is found in rocks and soils below our feet, and it creates radon gas upon decaying. While not usually a problem, radon can concentrate in a home as it rises through the soil, usually in the basement. It’s important to be able to test for it as it can cause a range of health issues, and it is the number one cause of lung cancer in non-smokers.
