Award-Winning Modern Kitchen Design

Minimalist Poggenpohl Segmento cabinetry and surfaces were used in this kitchen design. Rather than taking the approach of using pale tones to lighten the space, the black back-painted backsplash installed and extended around the walls reflects natural light throughout the space and also complements the green and pine cabinets. Another unusual workaround to the fixed element constraints was to install plumbing and services into the toekick. To accommodate the different ceiling levels, the tall units were set at different heights. The cooking area is accentuated by the elevated suspended cabinetry underneath.
