Amazing Dressing Room

The amazing dressing room in the HGTV 2015 Dream Home is a great example of adding identity to a catch-all space. See the features in this HGTV video:

The dressing room is located just next to a walk-in closet. Drapery was added to privatize the space, and it layers the same color found on the walls, ceiling, furniture and rug.

One corner was dedicated to the vanity area. A beautiful ottoman was added instead of a chair so it can also serve as extra seating for visiting friends.

The adjacent corner space with its chaise lounge is a relaxing spot for putting on or taking off shoes. If you need an extra space to escape to read a book or magazine, the entire room can be used as a quiet retreat.

If you run out of space in your closet for valuables or seasonal pieces, a three-drawer chest is an excellent solution. It is also another space to show a little bit of personality, like the starburst mirror, orchids and picture frames.

The detailing of the furniture, such as the kickplating at the bottom of the chaise and the tufts on the top and the skirt on the bottom of the ottoman, is all about fashion inspiration.

If you have a space that you don’t know what to do with, keep in mind that turning it into a custom dressing room just might be the way to go.
