Amateur Winemaker’s Cellar

A homeowner that works on Wall Street during the week but makes wine on the weekend needed a place to entertain friends and family as well as to store his wine. An empty basement with high ceilings was the perfect location for creating an amateur winemaker’s cellar. See the transformation in this DIY Network video:

The walls were covered with Tuscan plaster which was glazed and sanded.

A large niche serves as the wine storage area with a cabinet base for housing crates and wine sleeves and shelving for the bottles along with a temperature control system.

The large rustic table was constructed from thick recycled planks and seats 12 people.

French doors and rustic furniture and lighting provide the finishing touches for this Tuscan wine cellar.
