How to Make Wood Bead Snowflakes
Turn wood beads, doll heads, cubes and dowels into beautiful Christmas wall decor. Learn how to make wood bead snowflakes in this video by Better Homes and Gardens:
1. Cut turned wood legs in half.
2. Remove rounded edges.
3. Drill a 1/2-inch deep hole centered in each leg.
4. Drill through second ball of each leg.
5. Measure and cut four 3 1/2-inch lengths of dowel.
6. Measure and mark center of five sides of wood cube.
7. Drill a 1/2-inch deep hole at each mark.
8. Insert dowels into drilled ball holes.
9. Attach and glue a wood bead and doll head.
10. Cut eight 1-inch lengths of dowel.
11. Attach and glue a wood bead to capped end of each leg.
12. Attach and glue doweled end of each leg into cube.
13. Cut four pieces of dowel, 3 1/2-inches long. Glue to cube, radiating from center.
14. Enlarge holes in five wood doll heads.
15. Add three wood beads and one doll head to each dowel.
16. Cut a 1-inch piece of dowel. Glue into remaining cube hole.
17. Glue a wood doll head in the center of the dowels.
