Designer’s Renovated Vancouver Home
Adding another level to this designer’s renovated Vancouver home gave the family much-needed extra living space while enabling them to stay in the same school district. On the first floor, the front entryway was relocated, and the former living room, dining room and kitchen were converted into the master bedroom, kids bedrooms (moving them out of the basement) and family room. On the new second floor, the combined living/dining/kitchen space features a minimalist white kitchen, natural wood finishes, high ceilings and skylights. The dining room has banquette seating and an oversized architectural light fixture; in the living room, the fireplace with its linear wraparound bench leads into the banquette. Folding glass doors lead out to a covered deck that can be enjoyed all year round. Take the tour in this House & Home video:
