Country Chic Kitchen Makeover
This galley kitchen and dining room combination had a weird layout with low upper cabinetry and a narrow drive-through style pass through. With five easy DIY projects in one weekend, DIY expert Monica Mangin creates an open kitchen-dining area that’s stylish, functional and perfect for entertaining. See the details of this country chic kitchen makeover in this Lowe’s video:
1. The upper cabinets, countertop and sink were removed, but the wall needed to stay due to electrical issues. A rectangular cutout provided a space for open shelving.
2. The lower cabinets were sanded and spray-painted a light gray color.
3. A dining buffet was made from kitchen cabinets and shelving.
4. New gray-and white laminate countertops and a new sink were installed.
5. The flooring was updated with wood-look peel-and-stick tile in two different tones.
