How to Make a Safari Baby Mobile

A mobile with zoo animals makes a cute addition to a nursery – and you can craft one without sewing. Learn how to make a safari baby mobile in this video by Better Homes and Gardens:

1. Start with a lion. Trace and cut two 3-1/2 inch felt circles.

2. Trace and cut a 5-inch felt circle.

3. Using an ear template, trace and cut two felt ears.

4. Cut a black felt triangle for the nose.

5. Draw on the eyes.

6. Using a clover felting tool, layer in batting and felt pieces together.

7. Cut fringe for mane.

8. Make four additional felt figures like a zebra, giraffe, monkey and/or smiling sun.

9. Mark holes on two wood pieces.

10. Drill holes.

11. Thread mmiddle felt shape with white yarn.

12. Insert hook to join the wood pieces.

13. Thread animals with white yarn and tie to mobile.

14. Hang the finished mobile.
