How to Make a Potted Planter Wall

A living wall is a great way to maximize garden space on a balcony or patio. Learn how to make a potted planter wall in this video by Better Homes and gardens:



1. Measure and mark cedar posts. Cut posts to desired height.

2. Lightly sand edges of posts. Stain as desired.

3. Set interior and exterior 2×4 posts in a large rectangulr planter.

4. Use clamps to hold 2×4 posts to planter. Make sure posts are level.

5. Predrill holes through planter and 2×4 posts. Secure with deck screws.

6. Measure post distance and have galvanized pipes cut to fit.

7. Twist plumbing flanges onto ends of pipes. Shimmy pipes between posts. Secure with clamps. Make sure pipes are level.

8. Mark pilot holes. Remove pipes and drill pilot holes.

9. Replace pipes and secure with screws.

10. Drill holes in rims of plastic flower pots, then add plants.

11. Hang S hooks on pipes. Hang pots from S hooks.
