Did you know you can use items like a key ring and plastic jug for caring for your potted plants? Learn about six everyday objects you can repurpose for gardening in this video by Better Homes and Gardens:

1. Turn a plastic jug into a watering can by drilling holes in the top. Fill jug with water and secure lid.

2. Use a coffee filter to line the bottom of a flower pot with a drainage hole. Fill the pot with potting mix.

3. Create a self-cleaning and sharpening tool holder by adding mineral oil and sand to a container and mixing them together using a paint stirrer. Insert garden tools in the mixture.

4. Remove the screw-top lid from a wine bottle and drill holes the lid to create an irrigator. Add water, then invert and insert in soil of a potted plant.

5. Cut the bottom off a plastic milk jug to create a cloche that you can place over a plant.

6. Punch a hole through plant tags and slide them onto a key ring. Store in a safe place.
