How to Transform Nightstands Into a Bench
You can buy a custom-made bench with storage, or you can save money by making one from affordable thrift store nightstands. Learn how to transform nightstands into a bench in this HGTV video:
1. Determine the length and width of your bench and cut 3/4-inch plywood to size.
2. Spray the plywood sheet with spray adhesive.
3. Attach 4-inch foam to the plywood sheet.
4. Attach your desired fabric to the foam using spray adhesive and wrap it around the back of the plywood. Cut off any excess fabric, then secure to the plywood with staples.
5. Paint the nightstands in your chosen color.
6. Attach the fabric-covered plywood to the nightstands using screws.
