Family Bathroom Renovation

This outdated bathroom had a small vanity, a shower/tub combination, no functional heating and no window, and the homeowners wanted an updated space that was more functional for a young family. See the details of this family bathroom renovation in this House & Home video:

The new larger vanity with its upper white and lower oak cabinetry provides ample storage. A large round mirror and an aged brass schoolhouse fixture are mounted on a feature wall of natural slate in a herringbone pattern. Cabinetry was extended to the opposite corner with a rectangular open oak shelf underneath that is mirrored in the window frame. Opposite the vanity, a large alcove tub framed in marble has a white mosaic dot tile surround and an overhead shelf, and the two niches in the adjacent shower provide extra storage space.
