How to Make a DIY Mobile Container Garden

Planting flowers and herbs in movable containers allows you to rearrange them easily and temporarily relocate them to make room for guests when entertaining on your deck or patio. Learn how to make a DIY mobile container garden in this HGTV video:



1. Use galvanized metal containers in different sizes and shapes.

2. Add drainage by drilling holes in the bottom of the container

3. Attach casters to the bottom of the container.

4. Fill the container with empty water bottles (takes up space without adding weight) and then add potting soil.

5. Add plants, mixing fillers, spillers and thrillers.

6. Roll the containers into position on your deck or patio.
