Feminine Sophisticated Bedroom Makeover

This tired bedroom was painted in a dull dated color and had a mishmash of furniture. The homeowner wanted to have a pretty space that feels finished, and an inspiration photo jump-started the transformation. The color palette is neutral with the ceiling painted a soft pink. All of the furniture was replaced with the exception of a large chest of drawers. The new bed has a custom velvet headboard and an organic mattress and is flanked by small side tables and wall-mounted sconce lights.

A flatscreen TV merges into the gallery wall above the chest of drawers. The vintage rug ties all of the room’s colors together and covers the honey-colored floor. Shaker doors and glam knobs dress up the closet. Decorative drapes, a capiz shell pendant ceiling light and rooster feather wall art above the bed provide the finishing touches.
