Beach-Inspired Master Suite

The homeowners, a retired couple, wanted to transform the attic in their city home into an oasis with a peaceful island vibe. See the details of this beach-inspired master suite in this House & Home video:

Designer Maia Roffey vaulted the ceiling up and added skylights to bring in the sunshine. Sandy-toned grass cloth wallpaper ties the space together and softens the hard edges. The splurge in the room is the pair of side tables with bone inlay in a resin.

The master bath is more traditional in style and has a mix of pattern and color. Wraparound patterned tile in the shower makes it the focal point of the room. The botanical print used for the window covering is carried over to the storage bench.
