Black and White Master Suite

The black and white master suite in the 2017 HGTV Urban Oasis is all about high-contrast design that makes a big impact. See the features in this HGTV video:

Instead of the traditional dark wall and white trim combo, the walls are painted a soft white, and the moldings, window casings, and even the doors are painted in a high-gloss black. The only color you see in the space is just a few splashes of pink.

The unique flooring, made of reclaimed wine barrels installed in a parquet pattern that resembles a diamond shape, adds depth and architectural interest to the room. There’s also a nice balanced mix of art, almost all pure black and white but with different subject matter and frame sizes.

The attached master bathroom also has a dramatic black and white color scheme with white being the dominant color. The walls are covered in a white hexagonal tile with a very dark near-black charcoal grout. This high-contrast geometric design creates a really graphic backdrop. Another spot where black and white have been turned upside down is on top of the vanity with its white carrara marble countertop and black vessel sinks.

A freestanding tub under the window looks super sculptural, and there are modern plumbing fixtures throughout the space. The big surprise in the water closet is the dramatic floral wallpaper.
