Third Floor Addition with Guest Bedroom Suite

This renovated Victorian rowhouse did not have enough space for a third bedroom, so the design solution was to build up. See the details of this third floor addition with guest bedroom suite in this House & Home video:

As the new third floor is only 13 ft. by 16 ft., every square foot had to count. The guest bedroom suite includes a small bathroom, walk-in closet and a bedroom large enough for a queen bed.

The bathroom has a glass shower with all the essentials, a large sink and ample vanity storage. In the bedroom, the walls and trim were painted white, but the ceiling was painted a pale blue to add interest. A four-poster queen sized bed adds visual impact, and the dresser doubles as a side table. The open staircase railing makes the space feel larger.
