Master Bedroom Designed for Deep Relaxation
Designed for deep relaxation, the master bedroom in the 2017 HGTV Smart Home is like a cozy cocoon of color that can lull you right to sleep. See the features in this HGTV video:
The walls are painted in a warm charcoal gray; while it’s an edgy neutral, it’s also very calming. The tailored white bed is a great contrast that looks crisp and clean against the wall color.
Different shades of blues bridge the sleeping and seating areas and bring in just enough color to add interest but not overpower the space. There is navy and indigo on the bed and floor and a pop of cobalt on the chaise lounge. The colors don’t necessarily match, but they are all within the same cool color family, and that makes this bedroom work.
The seating area has great views of the outdoor spaces which are accessible through the sliding glass doors.
Artwork and artistic elements such as a white-feathered African headdress, colorful abstracts and the sculptural sconces add visual interest to the room.
