Ten Ideas for Creating a High-End Bathroom Without a High-End Budget

If your bathroom is in need of a makeover but you don’t have the budget for a major bathroom renovation, a few moderately priced upgrades such as new paint, cabinet hardware, flooring and lighting can give your bathroom a touch of glam. This video by Robeson Design presents ten ideas for creating a high-end bathroom without a high-end budget:

When she first moved into her home 15 years ago, designer Rebecca Robeson didn’t have the money to replace the fixtures, shower, tub, sinks, faucets or cabinets in her master bathroom, but she did have a sufficient budget to make the following luxe upgrades:

1. Removed wallpaper, changed the wall texture to a skip trowel texture, and painted the ceiling and walls the same color to soften the edges

2. Added an arch to the entrance to the shower and toilet room and closed in the opening above the bathroom door.

3. Replaced the soffit above the vanity with a beautiful light bar

4. Added romantic sconces and a custom-made swag curtain with embedded mirrors and crystals to the bathtub alcove

5. Installed a wraparound mirror that runs from the top of the backsplash up to the ceiling

6. Hidden medicine cabinets with touch latches were cut directly into the wraparound mirror

7. A charging station was converted into a makeup cabinet with a tilted lighted circular mirror and placed on top of the vanity

8. The oak cabinets was re-stained in an espresso finish

9. New pulls and knobs add jewelry to the cabinets

10. The carpeting was replaced with ceramic tile
