Coastal Inspired Master Bathroom

The coastal-inspired master bathroom in the 2017 HGTV Dream Home proves that you don’t have to be on vacation to have a space that feels like one. See the features of this luxurious spa-like bathroom in this HGTV video:

Every detail evokes a subtle beachy feel. Shiplap walls add a ton of architecture. The tile on the floor looks like sun-worn wood, giving you the look of wood floors and the practicality of tile. Although color is minimal, the soft blues and pure whites are very beach-inspired.

There are also plenty of luxurious spa-like amenities. A huge soaking tub is situated right next to the window, allowing tons of natural light to flood in when you’re taking a bath. An oversize shower has accessories such as body jets in the walls, a pendant faucet hung on the ceiling, and built-in seating. The spacious double vanity offers plenty of room to get ready in the morning.

The design is all about making it feel more like a well-decorated room rather than a utility or task-related space. The freestanding tub doubles as sculpture. In lieu of a cabinet, a dresser placed up against a wall provides extra bath storage. The multiple pieces of art above the dresser are not what’s expected in a bathroom and provide a nice element of surprise – and who doesn’t like looking at artwork?
