Architect’s California Courtyard Family Home

This architect’s California courtyard family home was inspired by the design of Moroccan medinas, and its enclosed and outdoor spaces flow together seamlessly. Sustainable materials including weathering steel, glass, and custom-made concrete block were used in the construction. Features of this open loft-like space include the eclectic global art collections, tansu staircase, mezzanine glass bridge and the flexible upstair pod spaces that serve as guest rooms and bedrooms.
