Small Living Room Transformation

This cramped living room was flanked by the entryway and had a cutout wall adjacent to the dining room. The design goal was to make this space feel bigger. See the results of this small living room transformation in this video by Robeson Design:

To make the room feel bigger, the entryway wall was demoed. The cutout wall was closed in to create an art wall, and the windows were framed with beautiful casements.

An arrangement of four chairs facing each other create a conversational area. The focal point of the room is the wall of built-ins; grass cloth wallpaper allows the piano to recess into the background.

Geometric patterns in the pillows and in the window treatments tie the space together. Beautiful wainscoting and crown molding, a three-door entryway chest and an original painting provide the finishing touches.
