DIY Textile Wall Art

It’s easy to make your own textile wall art with dip-dyed cotton twine. Learn more about this DIY project in this video by Better Homes and Gardens:



For this project you will need cotton twine, scissors, tape, ruler, dowel, large bowl and a packet of dye.

1. Cut 25-30 36-inch strands of twine.

2. Tie a piece of string to both ends of the dowel.

3. Tape the middle of the string to the work surface.

4. Fold and tie each piece of twine onto the dowel, tying a knot underneath.

5. Mix the dye packet into a bowl of hot water.

6. Dip half of the twine into the dye, then let sit for 5 minutes.

7. Let the remaining 1/3 of the twine sit for another 30-60 minutes.

8. Remove to dry overnight.
