Large Master Bedroom Makeover

The homeowners were overwhelmed by the potential of their enormous master bedroom and felt nothing “popped”. With five easy DIY projects in one weekend, DIY expert Monica Mangin transforms this very large space into one that’s warm, welcoming and on trend without spending a lot of money on furniture. See the details of this makeover in this Lowe’s video:

1. A stained rustic console table topped with stone pavers provides a high-end look.

2. The wall behind the bed was painted a deep blue that’s both cozy and dramatic to create a focal point.

3. A faux fireplace mantel anchors one of the seating areas and provides a touch of sophistication.

4. The custom pine chevron-patterned headboard is stained to match the console table and is the showstopper piece for the bed.

5. Fabric, dowels and copper fittings make a unique magazine rack for the sitting area.

A re-purposed sectional and chairs define the second, more casual seating area. Accent lighting provides the finishing touches.
