How to Find the Best Spot for Bathroom Accessories

Whether your space is refined and traditional or chic and contemporary, no bathroom is complete without accessories, but where you install them is just as important as how they look. Learn how to find the best spot for bathroom accessories in this Moen video:

Knowing a few key guidelines can help you determine the best place for each accessory and create a bath that’s beautiful and easy to use.

Start simple by adding a place for towels. Towel bars and rings are usually installed 48 inches from the floor. Hand towel bars are typically 9 inches long and should be located near the sink. Bath towel bars are typically between 18 to 24 inches long to fit at least two large towels. Place a towel bar next to the shower or tub for easy reach.

Position paper holders 8 to 12 inches in front of the toilet rim and 26 inches from the floor. For a quick and easy refill, choose one that pivots.

Mirrors should be hung at least 2 inches above the vanity and at least 4 inches down from the ceiling.

Place robe hooks on the back of the door or on the wall about 60 inches from the floor. They work great for towels too.
