Here’s how to use peel-and-stick wallpaper to decorate the back of a hutch or bookcase. You will need the following tools and materials:

  • Peel-and-stick wallpaper
  • Scissors
  • Measuring tape
  • Pencil
  • Notepad
  • Level, T-square or other straightedge

1. Measure the space.

2. Spread the wallpaper on a flat surface, measure and mark off with a pencil, and cut. Check to see if the piece fits in the space.

3. Peel off the back of the paper and place on the surface. Peel-and-stick wallpaper is very forgiving; if you have a crease, just peel it back and reapply.

4. Style the space.

Two tips to make this project easier:

  • Have a second person help you if you are applying long pieces.
  • Roll the wallpaper out in the opposite direction so that it lies flat; it will make it easier to work with.
