How to Arrange a Great Room
If you have an open floor plan, defining living, dining and kitchen zones can be challenging. Learn how to arrange a great room with the tips presented in this Better Homes and Gardens video:
1. In the dining space, keep walkways clear on both sides of the dining table.
2. Use a pair of chairs to mark where the living room starts. Leave an opening into the seating arrangement.
3. Fill an empty corner with a lounge chair, creating a nook that’s perfect for relaxing or reading.
4. To provide extra seating when needed, include easy-to-move side chairs.
5. Use color and flooring to unify each zone.
