Three Inspiring Bathroom Design Ideas

Even though it’s a relatively small space, renovating a bathroom can often cost a lot more than you think. It’s important to get it right the first time, so get inspiration from lots of different spaces so you can make choices that are right for you and that you’ll love for a long time. This video by House & Home presents three inspiring bathroom design ideas:

Bathroom #1 features a subdued palette, polished finishes and architectural detail. Lavender-hued porcelain subway tile is framed in white trim. The lighting, mirror and faucet have matched metal finishes, while the vanity has a marble countertop and oak cabinetry with contemporary pulls. A towel warmer provides a luxurious finishing touch.

Bathroom #2 is a modern take on a classic black-and-white scheme with geometric porcelain floor tile, marble counter with extensive veining, a custom pharmacy-style vanity and matte black metal faucets. Other features include metal-framed glass doors and a walk-in shower with custom floor-to-ceiling glass, rainshower head, handheld sprayer and marble on the back wall.

Bathroom #3 has a serene neutral feel with its monochromatic finishes, efficient footprint and eclectic accents. Features include marble pencil molding, white hexagonal floor tile, and white subway tile up to wainscoting height. Mixed metals (polished nickel, matte black and aged brass) give the bathroom lots of personality. The vanity has great storage and is cantilevered onto the wall, and a wall-mounted toilet adds a clean look and saves space. A floor-to-ceiling custom floral-patterned shower curtain adds fun to the room.
